Acknowledgments

Whether you are building, restoring or reconditioning a motorcycle, it's rarely a one person job. There are always "unknowns", roadblocks, unexpected moments, and mistakes......I've made them all.

 

​The restoration of this XS1100RH #000299, to the exceptionally high standard that can be seen through these images, was completed by Mal Pitman during 2025/26. The current owner then put the finishes touches to the motorcycle such as the Yellow bike lock, original mirrors etc.

​

Mal is one the most respected XS1100 experts in the country (if not the World), and has has been incredible helpful and supportive both during the build process and post the current owner take over stewardship of the motorcycle.

​

We also acknowledge Eddie Szmelter for his continuing support of the XS1100 global community, and specifically for Eddie providing  Mal with the original rolling chassis for #000299. Eddie then continued to support the current owner of #000299 as he endeavoured to put the finishing touches to Mal's creation.
